I use quicken on my job. It was a little different from quickbooks, which is what I was used to. But, through a little trial and error, it is actually quite easy. I haven’t been able to get our bank to sign up for quicken, which would make what I do a little easier. It has been a good program for me. I do not call customer service, however, because the few times that I did, I could not understand what they were saying. I now choose to have a direct chat online, and there is no language barrier for me.

Mvelopes is a totally different program. It doesn’t track spending the same as Quicken or Money. If you already plan to use Money or Quicken, it might be a lot of work to enter and download all your data again and allocate it in Mvelopes. I believe you can try Mvelopes free for a certain amount of time. Some people love it. I found it hard to use because not all my credit cards linked to it.
You can still use Money even if the bank doesn’t support it. It just means that you have to manually enter all your transaction into Money and then balance against the bank statement or internet at your bank. With Quicken you can just press download and it will transfer your transactions from the bank into your Quicken account.
The bottom line is do what works for you. I really love Quicken, but then again I haven’t tried Money, so I don’t know the difference.
how much is the cost to have a quicken and mvelopes, which is most efficient. am just using using excel spreadsheet for my budgetting.

I played around with it last night and it does seem a little more user friendly than Money, or maybe it was because I had an instruction manual in front of me. I was so glad I was able to download one from their site. I’m the type of person that needs to have it in written form in front of me not on a screen. I guess I’m weird that way.
Anyway, I was surprised it downloaded all of my bank information from the day we opened the account. That was very nice. Now I just have to go back and assign the categories to it. I did all of January’s and tonight I’ll work on December’s.
